Overview

This Okayama Cultural Discovery & Kibiji Cycling Tour blends two of Western Japan’s most rewarding experiences into a single, well-paced day. In the morning, you choose between Korakuen Garden, one of Japan’s Three Great Gardens, or the beautifully preserved Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, known for its Edo-period canals and white-walled storehouses.

In the afternoon, we shift gears — literally — and explore the Kibiji Plains by bicycle, following a gentle, scenic cycling route through rural landscapes dotted with ancient keyhole-shaped burial mounds, historic temples, shrines, rice fields, and horse stables.

This is one of the most enjoyable and culturally rich cycling routes in Japan, suitable for all levels.

With decades of guiding experience across Western Japan, I tailor the day to your interests, pace, and photography goals. This tour is ideal for travellers who enjoy a mix of culture, nature, history, and light outdoor activity.
